Caste is not invisible in urban areas, it is invisiblised. This series features a Dhobi (a person who is mandated by the caste system to wash clothes of upper caste households) working in a Dhobi Ghat (outdoor washing area) in an affluent East-Bengaluru neighborhood. It throws a spotlight on the caste-based occupation and precarious conditions in which people of this community live and work.
